Peel Away 1 Paint Remover is our original paint remover designed to remove oil, alkyd, and lead-based paints. For over 40 years, Peel Away 1 has been removing up to 30 layers of older paints and coatings from most indoor and outdoor surfaces in only a single application. This heavy duty paint stripper penetrates to the bottom layer and removes all the layers above as long as the bottom layer is an oil, alkyd, or a lead-based coating. Peel Away 1 is a complete paint removal system with everything you need to get started under the lid. Every container includes Dumond® Laminated Paper, Citri-Lize® pH Neutralizer (neutralization is required before repainting is possible), and a pH test kit. The one gallon container also includes a plastic scraper.
Testing is critical before you begin any paint removal project. Use a Dumond® Paint Removal Test Kit to perform a small, inconspicuous test to ensure Peel Away 1 is compatible with the coatings and surfaces present. Your project may require Smart Strip® Advanced or Smart Strip® PRO instead.
Peel Away 1 is available in 1 gallon (4L) and 5 gallon (19L) containers.
